| Janke General Contractors, Inc. had to use strategic planning and precautionary safety measures in installing the 206-foot double-span steel truss bridge with the ongoing traffic beneath and surrounding the construction site. With unexpected abutment elevation conflicts triggering the redesign of the bridge abutments, Janke, along with the City of Fitchburg and the Engineer negotiated the layout changes. The teamwork of all parties involved made it a successful additional component to the Capital City Trail Bike Path. |
